"Time freezes when you enjoy the moment" LO

Good morning. Had a busy week. Finished afew projects, done some atcs, my gal falling ill etc.

Today I would like to share with you all the layout that me made for a local facebook group challenge, Moments Recorded - Scrapbook Challenges. The challenge: use black cardstock.

So I made a mixed media layout of myself. Its the first time that I made an LO on myself. Ha ha.. Quite a fun challenge.

Used texture paste and Crafter's Workshop templates to create the background. Loved the Almanac Collection papers by Prima.

One of the photos on my favourite list. I'm not the photogenic type. But thanks to my brother, Austin, now I got afew nice photos of myself. Ha ha ha....

If you notice the title, "Time"and "Moment" are a bit texturized,  its because I added texture paste to them. They are actually diecut letters by Sizzix dies. I wanted to use chipboard titles originally. But due to the fact that there's no chipboard titles by this phrase, I had no choice but to improvise. But then I loved the results.

Well, hope you like this layout. Have a good weekend. To me, this weekend, its a very "happening" and excited one. Will share more tomorrow and on Monday. Do watch out for exciting news!!!!!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Fabulous Friday Challenge - Grids

Hi, everyone. Today there's a new challenge at Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge. We would like you to use GRIDS on your cards, layouts, altered art, mixed media or any other projects.

And here's my take on the challenge:

"Handmade Flowers Shadow Box"

Altered an IKEA shadow box into a display of handmade flowers. Used Dusy Attic chipboards and painted them with picket fence crackle paint and gesso. All the flowers in the grids are handmade from scratch, except for the middle piece that's from Prima.

Hope you are inspired by all the projects from our Frosted Designs design team. DO hop over to Frosted Designs and join in the challenge.

Have a nice weekend!! Thanks for visiting my blog.

"From Scratch" video by my brother

Hi all, today I also want to share a video done by my brother, Austin Theng for his ITE final year project. This video is about how an ex-convict turned into a successful entrepreneur. Do watch the video, "From Scratch" and spread the message of second chances for ex-convict. Let's give them the encouragement and support to be a better person and that they can be given a second chance.

Enjoy the video and thanks for visiting my blog again.

Today I also "helped" my church friend with his gift to his girlfriend. So sweet of him, right!! Well, will share the pictures of this gift when done. ha ha.. seems even nicer that the one me made for my hubby last yr. :P

Here's one project that I can share today:

Mini Album of Cards

After a week of coaching my girl for her tests, I can finally get down to scrapping. Today's project is a mini album of cards. Made this album upon my friend's request. She wanted a mini album of 20 pages for 20 people to pen down their greetings/messages.

Again, I used my favourite color scheme: turquoise, pink and brown for the cover and back of the album. Also used Dusty Attic chipboard border and washi tapes bought through Scrapbook Market (a local facebook group).

Painted the Dusty Attic chipboard border with crackle paint. Made the 2 blue flowers using punches.
For the inserts, made using kraft cardstock and some die cut tags and digital collage. The kraft cardstock create space for people to pen down their messages.

And this is the back of the album.

Hope you all enjoy the album. And please do join in the Fabulous Friday Challenge at Frosted Designs. This week's challenge is about "Numbers".  Thank you for visiting my blog.
