Stencils Love

Hi, everyone. Today I'm just going to do a review of my projects that involve stencils.

Stencils is one of my got-to-have tool whenever I do a project. So yes... I got more than 160 stencils in my collection and 90% of them are already used. There's just so many ways you can use them for.

My top most favourite way of using them is spreading texture paste, gesso etc mediums over them to create the background.

(Done with 3 stencils, Fairy with texture paste and the rest gesso)

"Blessed" Layout

"Smile, My Precious Pies"

"May Love Be The Heart Of This Home" Canvas

"2 Precious Darlings" Layout

"The Repair Shop"
(The pavement is done with spreading modeling paste over stencil)

"Little Things Big Memories" Layout

"Secret Faerie Garden" Canvas and Spoon
(Brick wall done with stencil and texture paste)

"Time flies" LO

My second favourite way is to use chalk inks over the stencils.

"Lazy Summer Days" Layout

"Your Time To Shine" Layout
(Background rays done with stencil and white chalk ink)

"Handsome & Cheeky" Layout

"Fave Treasure" Layout
(white chalk ink with wheel stencil)

"Our Little Boy" LO
(Use pastel blue ink over forest stencil and texture paste over small dots stencil)

"Little Girl" Layout

Blooming Flowers card

Stickers layout

Sweet Dreams layout

Another way is to mist over the stencils.

"Picnic" LO

"Carol" canvas display

Beauty layout

I also love to mix acylic paints with texture paste and spread over the stencils.

"Live A Life Inspired" Canvas
(The flowers done with the paint and texture paste mixture over stencil)

"Be Present" Mixed Media Canvas
(Green plants done same method)

"Home Sweet Home" Shadow Box
(Sun done same way)

I also used Tim Holtz distress inks over the stencils. Sometimes I sprinkle some water over the distress ink to create the resist effect.

(Top ATC using distress ink and bottom ATC, I drew out from stencil and also stitch one camera)

There's so many ways and projects that you can create with stencils. That's why my stencil collection grew and is still growing. Simply a cannot do without tool.

Hope you are inspired by my sharing. Go grab some stencils!!!!

Thanks for dropping by.

Imaginarium Designs - Another Fantastic Year

Hi, everyone. Today I'm sharing a layout over at Imaginarium Designs. Blessed to be able to stay on for another fantastic year with Imaginarium Designs Design Team. Love their chipboards.

"Lazy Summer Days"

"Lazy Summer Days" Layout

This photo of my son was taken in Sydney 5 years ago. He was so happily walking in The Domain (park). Matching the colors of his outfit and shoes, I created this blue and orange themed layout.

"Lazy Summer Days" Layout

The background is done by sponging different tones of blue and orange inks (inkpads) over a stencil. Then I add texture paste and also a mixture of embossing paste and orange mist over tiny stars and hearts stencil. I left all the chipboards raw.

"Lazy Summer Days" Layout

This is a simple, fast and rather clean layout. And here's the chipboards I have used:

Hope you enjoy my sharing. Do hop over to Imaginarium Designs to see my teammates' projects and there's some winners too. And do leave a comment to win a pack of chipboards too. Have fun.
